Ms. Tracy
Lynx Program Support Educator, ECE
Hello, my name is Tracy. I am originally from the Okanagan area but followed my heart to the beautiful Kootenays and am here to stay. I have always loved working with children and at the young age of 8 I determinedly planned to become a teacher because of the life changing mentorship and support that my grade 2/3 teacher offered to me.
I have six amazing and dynamic children of my own (biological and step) between age 1-11 and it has been a precious adventure raising them so far. I have learned as much from them as they have from me and, of course, I am still learning every day. I am in my element caring for children and it became a logical step in my life to pursue a career as an ECE Educator. I have nearly completed my studies at Selkirk College and am very excited to get involved as part of the team of dedicated staff at the Schoolhouse Early Learning Centre. I can’t wait to learn and grow with them and the children! I am a curious and optimistic person by nature, and see life as a bounty of adventures and experiences. What will we learn, see and do today?
