​​Hello, I am Joy. I grew up in Taiwan. My husband and I live in Nelson with two lovely cats. I completed the Early Childhood Education certificate program at Selkirk College in 2021 and continue to work towards the Human Service Diploma (Early Childhood Care and Education - infant/toddler.) I enjoy the Nelson community and the west Kootenay lifestyle, especially opportunities for outdoor adventures.  Puttering in the garden, cooking, and sharing delicious meals with families and friends are also my favourite things to do for leisure. I don't have children on my own, but I love to be with children. Being a warm, caring, energetic, respectful, and supportive adult is my vision as an ECE. It is exciting to be part of the team at Schoolhouse and meet all the families in the community.
