Hello! My name is Bruna Matos Paiva, and I was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I moved to Toronto in February 2017 after dropping out of the engineering program I was taking in Brazil. I came here to improve my English and find a career path that I love. That is when I discovered my passion for working with children. I moved to Castlegar to be an Aupair of a fantastic family that I still have close contact with. Since then, I have worked with different families and in different childcare settings. I also have just graduated with an ECE/IT diploma from Selkirk College. I fell in love with the Kootenays as soon as I moved here. I am glad to be part of The School House as their educational philosophy aligns with mine. I am excited to be learning and growing with each child, family and staff at The School House.
